Was born in Italy in 1946.

Very young, he revealed a natural predisposition for drawing and painting, a passion that he cultivated during his technical studies, because art was and remains his first and true vocation.
He attends the Raffaello di Urbino Academy to deepen his knowledge of techniques and styles, starting an intense activity of engraving, his works will be exhibited with his paintings in exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
After an installation in his own workshop-printing, he collaborates with some art publishers, thus having the means to know and work side by side with famous Masters of the art such as: Sutherland, Cassinari, Frai, Guttuso, Migneco , Morlotti, Treccani and many more.
From the dialogue with them and the frequentation of their workshops, he draws technical and cultural enrichments, in complementarity with his preparation, but above all deep aesthetic suggestions and a great ethical concept of his artistic profession.
From the beginning of the eighties he devoted himself mainly to painting and because his production was quite slow and limited, he selected only a few exhibitions, much appreciated by affectionate, attentive, demanding collectors of many nationalities.
The works of Grandi are part of many private collections and his permanent exhibitions are housed in international art galleries.
